Zach and Emily wanted to hit all the springtime hot spots for Lexington. So when they heard about local favorite Lexington Cemetery and its cherry blossoms, they immediately asked if we could include it in their session. I actually hadn't shot there before, so it was the perfect opportunity to grab those gorgeous blooms! Since the cemetery closes at 5 pm sharp, we began their session at 4:15 pm. This is a bit earlier than I usually shoot, but it provided some luscious light to work with and made the couple's clementine-toned wardrobe pop. Then we headed downtown for a few shots at Christ Church Cathedral to honor Emily's Catholic background.
We ended the shoot at Lexington's Distillery District on the city's north side, taking advantage of the industrial architecture and funky vibe. A perfect spot for this fun, adventurous couple!
PS neither Zach nor Emily are European; Emily just happened to have slipped her engagement ring on her right hand for the first bit of the session!!
