I met wedding planner and business CEO Lindsay at a Bridal Bliss wedding expo. It was January 2019, and our booths were beside each other. We spent the day chatting about our businesses and families (she's got the cutest little boy!), and by the end of the show I'd asked for her number. I kept track of her stunning work on IG (Lindsay offers calligraphy and decor rentals as well as plan), each time hoping I'd get the chance to work with her one day. So when she connected me with one of her clients, I couldn't believe my luck.
Taylor and Mark said their vows in a traditional Catholic ceremony, complete with an incense blessing on their rings and the use of a cloth to bind their hands together. Since their ceremony and family photos ended after sunset, we shot their couple portraits inside their reception venue, the Henry Clay. Both Taylor and Mark were game for all the strange poses I asked!
The newlyweds entered their reception by dancing down the aisles among their 200+ guests. Taylor's dad gave the sweetest toast, followed by the maid of honor and best man. And then the party began. With the open bar flowing and live band Kudmani wailing, 90% of the guests danced for hours. DJ Sammy handed out tambourines and even had the band play "Sweet Caroline," subbing Taylor's name instead. When "Time Of My Life" came on, Taylor and Mark went for the Dirty Dancing lift - and succeeded!! And to cap the night off, Lindsay handed rounded poppers that covered the lovers in silver streamers. What a way to kick off your marriage.
PS thank you dear Ana for partying with me!
