In true poetic fashion, Emily and Keagan said their vows in the same little town where they fell in love. Having met at Asbury University, a tiny Christian college in Wilmore, KY, the couple chose to marry at the lovely chapel across the street. I’ve got a soft spot for Asbury, as it’s my alma mater, so I was honored to witness these two fellow alumni join together in Christ.
The day featured several musical numbers, from the bridal party dancing to "I'm A Believer" (Shrek edition) for the recessional, to Keagan and his mom's choreographed mother-son dance. To top it off, the newlyweds re-enacted “Can I Have This Dance” from Disney’s High School Musical III, multiple lifts and all. (A perfect choice, since Keagan was a jock in school and shy Emily enjoys a musical career). We wrapped up the day at The Kentucky Castle, where the two were spending the night before their honeymoon abroad. Talk about a storybook day.
